Employee Appreciation

You appreciate your customers. You tell them every day. You thank them for coming in, you thank them for calling, and you thank them when they leave. But what about your employees? And, no, I don’t mean are your employees thanking your customers too. Hopefully, they are doing that already!

When was the last time you showed your appreciation to your dealerships staff? When was the last time you brought in a box of donuts, or bought them lunch?  How long has it been since you've sat down with your employees and expressed your gratitude for their effort and commitment to your dealership and team? If your answer is over six months, you may be due.

Employee appreciation can take many shapes and forms. Some less obvious methods include additional vacation or holidays off, giving employees flexibility with schedules and policies, and even just simple things like keeping up with their interests and lives. Even a little effort can go along way.

By showing employee appreciation, you can strengthen the bond with them and your organization. Also, your appreciation shows the employee that are cared about and are an essential part of a successful organization. This promotes commitment and kinship amongst your staff. Having a happy and healthy workforce can be a powerful tool to increase productivity and efficiency in a dealership.
